My paintings attempt to capture the essence of figures and objects using texture and careful color choices to express a mood or emotion. I want dabs and splashes of paint to fuse into a recognizable image emerging from an abstracted background. I strive to create a strong harmonious composition that will engage the viewer.

Sharing studio space with Kathy Thompson and Linda Workman-Morelli: 20080 SW Jaquith Road, Newberg, OR 97132

From Newberg: Take Hwy 219 (College Street) north to  Chehalem Mountain summit. Turn left on Mountain Top Road and follow our signs.

From Beaverton and Hillsboro: Take Scholls Ferry Road (Hwy 210), River Road or Hwy 219 to Scholls. Follow Hwy 219 south to either Jaquith Road (turn right 3.4 miles on Jaquith (or to Mountain Top Road, turn right and follow our signs to House of Whispering Firs (0.4 miles on Mountain Top, 1 mile on Jaquith). Kathy will share her studio with Kathleen Buck and Linda Workman-Morelli, who will demonstrate pit firings on both weekends.
