ART HARVEST STUDIO MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

During this 2024-2025 academic year, eight students from the McMinnville High School Advanced Art Placement Program are matched with three AHST Artists who served as mentor instructors. Artists open their studios, providing lessons and demonstrations in their chosen art media while guiding these young artists through specific projects.

Students have an opportunity to understand what it takes to be a professional artist, including - art supplies, inventory, production skills, techniques, art principles, and exhibiting. They receive a stipend for supplies with lessons on expenses and budgeting. The program is a great experience for mentors and students and reflects the studio tour commitment of supporting community art education.
